During the three days of the event, lectures were held at ARENA ABTCP, inside the Exhibition area, addressing topics relevant to the main trends in the pulp and paper sector, with a focus on the market, management, products and prices.
A new project managed by ABTCP’s Technical area with the objective of incentivizing and fostering innovation in the forest base sector, with the aim of prospecting business opportunities targeting the production chain of this industry with a focus on anticipating trends and generating knowledge, integrating resources available to companies that seek innovation.
The Opening Session of the 51st International Congress and Exhibition ABTCP-CIADICYP 2018, included the participation of more than 300 people and gathered pulp and paper executives and professionals to discuss developments currently going on in the sector and that will be determinant for promoting its future competitiveness.
With the theme: Beyond the fourth Industrial Revolution: humanized connections between design, innovation, technology and culture, the 51st Pulp and Paper International Congress and the 10th Ibero-American Network for Teaching and Research on Pulp and Paper (CIADICYP), occurred in conjunction with presentations by industry professionals and researchers who not only addressed process improvements but also innovation and new technologies.

Held on October 24, the dinner counted on the participation of 320 guests, in a relaxing environment decorated by the University of Paper with art made out of the material appreciated the most by the sector: paper. Na ocasião foram entregues os troféus do The 2018 Highlights of the Sector awards were also presented to the companies and professionals who stood out the most for their innovations and technologies.
